AASP Executive Board Positions to Begin October 2024

President-Elect. The primary responsibilities of the President-Elect include overseeing AASP's Awards Program, current Strategic Plan (in tandem with the President), developing any presidential initiatives for introduction during their presidency, and, most importantly, training to become AASP President and lead the Association.  During their year as Past President, they are Conference Planning Committee (CPC) Chair.
Term – 3 years (2024-2027); one year each as President-Elect, President, and Past President.

Secretary–Treasurer.  The responsibilities of the Secretary–Treasurer include overseeing the financial health of the Association. Additionally, the Secretary–Treasurer coordinates and oversees the activities of the Finance, Development, and Foundation Committees.  
Term – 3 years (2025-2027); term begins January 1, 2025 and ends December 31, 2027.

Public Relations & Outreach Division Head.  The Public Relations & Outreach Division Head is responsible for increasing the visibility of AASP as an organization to consumers and the public. This Board member oversees the activities of the Community Outreach, International Relations, and Web Presence Committees, and the Strategic Alliance Liaison. The Public Relations & Outreach Division Head also directly interfaces with AASP's contracted Public Relations company.
Term – 3 years (2024-2027).

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging & Justice (DEIBJ) Division Head. The DEIBJ Division Head provides best practices and leadership on diversity and inclusion-related matters; helps to guide, integrate, and evaluate diversity-related activities; and oversees efforts to increase the number of minority and international efforts across the Association.   The DEIBJ Division Head works to enhance the capability of governance and members to interact in culturally responsive, sensitive, and ethical ways while developing coordinated strategies to orient and educate the AASP’s  membership and leadership on ways to foster an inclusive and welcoming organizational climate.  The DEIBJ Division Head oversees the Association’s Advocacy Committee, Diversity Committee, and International Relations Committee.
Term – 3 years (2024-2027).

Student Representative. Two Student Representatives serve as direct liaisons to the Executive Board as a way to represent the interests of all AASP student members. They organize and communicate with student delegates, help to promote and select regional conference grants, and are responsible for planning and directing student activities at AASP's Annual Conference. Additionally, the Student Representatives coordinate and oversee the Student Development Committee.
Term – 2 years (2024-2026)... Must be a student for the entire duration of the term to be eligible to apply.
