AASP Regional Representatives

The regional representative position is a 2 year commitment in which your responsibilities include disseminating information about AASP to students and schools in your region, organizing or helping with your region's student conference, and being a leader on a student initiative. Other duties include attending the student open and regional representative meetings at the annual AASP conference.

To apply for a regional representative position, send a one-page, double-spaced statement of intent and describe your proposed involvement in an established Student Initiative or a new Student Initiative you would like to develop. Additionally, obtain a letter of recommendation from a faculty member. Submit your application to Jessica Dale and Stephen Gonzalez. Applications for the Regional Representative positions will be accepted for a period of 6 weeks following the annual conference.  In addition, we will be accepting applications from February 1, 2012 to March 15, 2012. At the end of this period, applications will be reviewed by the two Student Representatives and the President-Elect.  Applicants will be notified of the decision within two months following the conference.  These new Regional Representatives will then serve for two years, with the second annual conference of their term marking the end of their service.  For example:

Application submitted and accepted following the 2011 AASP annual conference – Regional Representative term ends at the 2013 AASP annual conference
